About Kailen

Kailen is a second-year undergraduate student studying political science and economics, with a minor in public policy. He spends most of his time serving as one of the Senators at the Associated Students of the University of California (ASUC) and volunteering by fundraising and building homes for Cal Habitat for Humanity. Kailen also serves as a board member for Educate a Child for Change (ECCO), a nonprofit organization aimed at ensuring students have the opportunity to all equally pursue an education.

Outside of his extracurriculars and academic obligations, you might find Kailen on the courts playing tennis, taking a bike ride with friends to the Berkeley marina, or spending too much money on Chipotle.

Why did you join Gravity?

"I've never been an avid user of social media, somewhat due to the problems that arose from it, but also because I wanted to focus on my in-person interactions and experiences. Social platforms have evolved into a valuable tool in today's day, leveraging communication and connection with millions across the world, but there's a lot to be done around the existing culture. I joined Gravity to make a positive impact on that culture and make social media a better place for everyone."
